SHOW • GO • GROW: A Simple Way to Encourage Creative, Curious, Lifelong Learners

By Lisa Caprelli, children’s author with an academic background in social psychology

When I step onto a school stage, I bring more than books and puppets. I bring three little verbs that changed my life: SHOW, GO, GROW. They’re easy to remember and fun to practice. They helped me move from being a shy child toward becoming a confident creator.

SHOW: Let the World See the Real You

Children can find many ways to show their gifts. SHOW invites them to be seen: to share a drawing, read a poem aloud, or simply say, “I love drawing!” Show can be expressed in many unique ways.

Join My Mission—No Suitcase Required

My goal is to help every child:

  • SHOW the world who you are creatively.
  • GO beyond the norms with childlike curiosity.
  • GROW a habit of lifelong learning and lift others up.
